Sparking Curiosity and Dialogue
Speaking, writing, and engaging audiences
Curiosity is what drives my work, and is what I enjoy cultivating most in others. I work with organisations, universities, cultural institutions, and industry leaders to spark deeper exploration and meaningful dialogue about the relationship between people and place.
Through keynotes, masterclasses, workshops, and writing, I translate research from neuroscience, psychology, and urban studies into accessible and practical insights and narratives. My aim is not simply to present information, but to shift perspective; to introduce new lenses through which we understand our environments and our responsibility in shaping them.

Science-informed and conscious design in practice
I collaborate with design teams, developers, institutions, and policymakers to integrate science-informed and conscious design approaches into projects and long-term strategies.
This may involve translating research into insights and principles, shaping spatial concepts, developing evaluation frameworks, or advising on design decisions. The goal is always to align intention, evidence, and implementation so that places respond meaningfully to human needs.
Culture Change
Creating a community of practice and serving a global movement
At the Centre for Conscious Design (CCD) we convene a global network of researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and creatives working to advance collaborative, aware and responsive environments.
Collaboration through CCD can take many forms: co-hosted events, research partnerships, curated programmes, festival contributions, advisory boards, and cross-disciplinary initiatives. CCD provides a platform for shared inquiry and collective impact.
Conscious Cites events have been held since 2016 and are part of the engagement of The Centre for Conscious Design and the Conscious Design Network. Explore events, publications, and engage with the community of practice here.
